We didn’t listen and now that world is pissed. People told us that the world wasn’t ready for STRAFE®. Thom STRAFE STRAFE® video behindthescenes behind the scenes bts The more people who are talking about STRAFE®, sharing the original spot, following us on twitter will directly effect how interested brands are in funding the spot. If you’re excited for the next video please share STRAFE® with your friends. The game takes full priority and the production of this video should not hurt development in any way. I’m really excited about this video and as passionate about it as I am for STRAFE®. This will be used to try to sell brands on our vision and back us financially as well as giving us a clear roadmap of what shots we need, what props, locations, extras, and VFX. Currently Sant is drawing higher detail (example up top) storyboards and animating them to the radio play so we can feel the spot in motion. Also now Bryan has laid a foundation for the sound design that he can use when the shoot is finished.Īnd now we arrive in the present. Again this helps with the feel and pacing of the video. ![]() ![]() No time and money wasted on getting extra coverage we won’t use.Īs we work on the boards, Bryan has cut together a “radio play” of the spot. We can go into production knowing EXACTLY what footage is needed. We can block out the framing and look of the video and make script changes to tighten it up if needed.Ģ. This is incredibly useful for 2 reasons.ġ. The next step was working with artist and friend Sant on the thumbnails for the storyboards. We revised and revised until we had a tight story we wanted to shoot. The first step was locking down the script. I’ve worked with my writing partner from the first spot, Jake to write a crazy and fun video that’s very different from the first. It won’t be easy and there’s a chance that it will never happen so I’m going to share some behind the scenes so you can follow development and I don’t feel like my time is wasted. We are not using any of the backers money for the spot, instead I am going to pursue product placement to fund it. Now that most of the physical Kickstarter rewards sent out and we’re in the middle of development I have started to spend my spare time working on the next video. It’s why we put so much love and time into the first STRAFE® commercial. I made music videos and commercials and have a profound love for production. Before starting development on STRAFE® I was a video director.
